Kenneth Glass, Jr.

Kenneth Glass, Jr., 57, of Morganton, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 15, 2016 after several months of declining health. Born in Portsmouth, VA on February 14, 1959, he was the son of the late Kenneth Marshall Glass and Martha Katherine Lewis Condee. Kenneth was raised in the Baptist faith, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was proud of his service as a paramedic in Brownsville, TX, worked as a local security guard, was a former manager of a Papa Johns location, and was worked as a manager at several local convenience stores.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Cassidy DeWayne Glass.
Kenneth is survived by the love of his life and wife of 26 years, Linda Augustine Glass of the home; a brother, Neil Glass and his wife, Clarie, of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters, Kathy Musumeci and husband, Thomas, Beverly Lane, and Charlotte Hughes, all of Winston-Salem; a number of nephews and nieces; his parents-in-law, Louis and Elaine Augustine; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Augustine and his wife, Norma.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Jopline officiating. Military honors will be provided by the N.C. National Guard.
