Kenneth L. Wilson

Kenneth L. Wilson, 72, of Britthaven of Morganton died Monday, July 27, 2009 at the nursing home following a period of declining health. He was born April 2, 1937 in Burke Co., and was a son of the late Edward Lee Wilson and Fannie Estelle Williams Wilson. Kenneth was of the Baptist faith, and was a former saw mill employee and lawn worker.He is survived by brothers, Howard Wilson of Morganton, Carl Wilson of Nebo, Johnny E. Wilson and wife, Geneva of Valdese, and Earl Wilson and wife, Marilyn of Avon, NY; and sisters, Wilma W. Wright of Glen Alpine and Mary W. Leonhardt of Morganton.In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Junior Wilson and James Vernon Wilson.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. David Orders officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
