Kenny Hyatt

Kenny Hyatt, 50, of N. King St., Morganton passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2009, following an extended illness. He was born in Burke County on July 30, 1959 and was a son of the late Buster and Bertha Mae Hubbard Hyatt. Kenny worked for over 30 years as a cook at Sterling Billiards. He was a kind person who never met a stranger, and who always had a smile on his face.Surviving are his brothers, Jimmy Hyatt, Johnny Hyatt and his wife, Carla, and Bobby Hyatt all of Morganton, Roy Hyatt and his wife, Audrey, of Valdese, and his twin, Dennis Hyatt of Hudson; sisters, Cathy Edwards and her husband, Kenneth, and Doris Hyatt, all of Morganton; nieces, Rebecca Griffith, Lisa Lail, Nikki Hardwood, and Tonya Hyatt; and three special great-nephews and niece, Thumper Lail and Kendall and Bryce Griffith.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009, in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. John Smiley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of Cathy and Kenneth Edwards, 2057 Coffey Rd., Morganton.
