Kerry Dee Pinkerton

Kerry Dee Pinkerton, 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 after an extended illness. Born on March 30, 1945, he was the son of the late Melvin Benjamin Pinkerton and Mary Wilma Pinkerton.

Kerry was a devoted father and grandfather. He served in the US- Navy aboard the USS Saratoga. Kerry was always smiling and laughing and never met a stranger. He loved to fish and seeing the snow fall in the mountains.

Kerry is survived by his sons, Scott Pinkerton, David Pinkerton (Deena); grandchildren, Savanna Pinkerton, Karson Pinkerton, Natalie Pinkerton, Karlee Deal; brother, Kent Pinkerton (Susan); sister, Kathy Swanson Shook, and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Emory officiating.

Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
