Kevin “Buddy” Lewis McSheffrey, Jr.

Kevin “Buddy” Lewis McSheffrey, Jr., 33, went to be with His Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.  Buddy was given to Angela Kelley Greene and Kevin Lewis McSheffrey, Sr. from the Lord on December 21, 1983 to forever enrich their lives.  He was a great son, devoted brother, loving uncle and cherished grandson, and would do anything for anybody, he was called to the broken, and would give you the shirt off his back.  Buddy loved wood working and owned Stranger Wood. He said his love for wood allowed him to take a stranger and become friends. He loved his family and especially cherished the talks him and Nanny had at night and enjoyed camping, making music, the outdoors and old cars. Buddy was a free spirit.

Buddy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary E. Jones and Guy E. McSheffrey; and maternal grandfather, Ralph Colan Kelley (Popa).

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Emerie Jade McSheffrey; girlfriend, Brandie Jones and her son, Kaceton; mother, Angie Greene and step-father Benjie; father, Kevin Lewis McSheffrey, Sr. and fiancé, Wyanette Rice, siblings, Amanda Singleton and husband, Josh and Adam Greene and wife, Jerrica; nieces and nephews, Laney, Ryan, Sam, Sofia, and Bracelynn; maternal grandparents, Linda and Marvin Danny Ledford, Danny Lee and Marie Ledford and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins, who will forever be changed by his love and sweet memories.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Morganton First Assembly of God with Pastor John White officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., prior to the service.  We hope that you come and share your memories of Kevin with us.

In lieu of flowers memorials contribution can be made to Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center to assist the family with expenses.
