Kimberly Marie Fox Banner

Kimberly Marie Fox Banner, 56, of Morganton, went home to be with her heavenly Father, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Burke County, November 20, 1956 and was the daughter of Dolly Dean Roberson Fox and the late Paul E. Fox, Jr. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as a preschool teacher for 18 years at Little Lamb Preschool. Kimberly enjoyed baking cakes, going to the mountains and walks on the beach. She enjoyed being around her church family and loved being with her grandchildren. She was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church.She is survived by her husband, Eddie D. Banner: son, Jason Banner and wife, Kelli of Valdese; daughter, Ashley Banner Penley and husband, Richard of Morganton; grandchildren, Devin Shuping, Katlin Wolfe, Nicholas Banner, Austin Wolfe and Madison Banner; great-grandmother, Myrtle Fox of Morganton; brother, Paul Fox III and wife, Marty of Asheville; father and mother-in-law, L. E. and Mary Banner of Morganton; sister-in-law, Lavonda Lingerfelt and husband, Mike of Morganton; aunt, Nancy Gaulding and husband, Alfred of Martinsville, VA. She is also survived by a number of cousins.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Catawba Valley Baptist Church with the Reverends Mike Odom and Clyde Buckner officiating. Burial will follow the service at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:30 pm. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
