Kunigunda Roth Watson

Kunigunda Roth Watson, 84, of Valdese went home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, February 10, 2020.  Born in Germany on September 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ludwick Roth and Katerina Eak Roth.  She was a member of Living Hope Tabernacle in Lenoir.  Mrs. Watson enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, crocheting, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Kunigunda is survived by her children, Barbara Watson of Elizabeth City, Henry Watson of Valdese, Ray Watson of Hudson, and Joan Harrison (Bobby) of Morganton; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Gary Watson; daughter, Debra Watson; brothers, Otto and Helmut Roth; and a sister, Betty Roth.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Seth Avery and Rev. Freddy Stapleton officiating.  Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
