Kyland James Springs Hodges

Kyland James Springs Hodges, infant son of Maurice Dashawn Springs and Kelsey Elaine Hodges of Morganton, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 7, 2019.  He was born in Burke County on July 7, 2019.  Kyland loved to be held, sang to, dance with his daddy, and snuggled by his mother.  He enjoyed spending time with his cousin, Karter, and having his brother, Mason, rub his head.

In addition to his parents, Kyland is survived by his brother, Mason Russell Hodges; grandparents, Mark and Renee Hodges and Patricia Springs (fiancé, Jason Letman); maternal great-grandmother, Edna Hodges; paternal great-grandparents, Theresa Stokes and Leroy Springs, Sr.; paternal great-great-grandmother, Darnelle Williams; aunts and uncles, Hayes Hodges (Katie Roberts), Shaniece Springs, Nayeli Jones, Trevor Brooks, and Jordan Brooks; great-aunts and uncles, Jennifer Jarvis, Judy Blevins (Rick), Mike Hodges (Melissa), Latonya Springs, Candace Jefferis (Mychal), and Allan Springs (Shonda); and cousins, Sophia, Karter, Sara, Brianna, Hayeslei, Holland, Chris, Sammy, Oliver, Thea, Malik, Justin, and Maria.

The family will greet friends from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.
