Larry Alexander Ross

Larry Alexander Ross, 70, of Morganton, NC died on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his home.  Larry was born on April 4. 1947 in Burke County and was a son of the late Alexander H. Ross and Margaret L. Rockett Ross.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.  He retired from North Carolina School for the Deaf after thirty years of service.

Larry is survived by his wife, Donna Ruth Sweet Ross of the home; son, Jason L. Ross and wife, Shaddoe of Morganton; sister, Linda G. Smith of Morganton; brother, Keith R. Ross and wife, Debbie of Morganton; niece, Cindy Smith of Morganton; and nephew, Pete Smith of Charlotte.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Stevenson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC  28690 or to a local charity of one’s choice.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
