Larry Melton Segars

Larry Melton Segars, 74, of Morganton went to his heavenly home on Monday, March 4, 2019.  Born in Hartsville, SC on November 17, 1944, he was the son of the late James Segars and Sadie Melton Segars.  Larry worked for Bartlett Tree Experts’ Cable Division, City Cab, and then owned and operated Larry’s Cab.  He never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone in need.

A loving brother, Larry is survived by his brother, Grady Lee Segars (JoAnne) of Morganton; sisters, Shelby Mosely of Chester, SC and Barbara Lynn Moseley (Rev. Odell) of Spartanburg, SC; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Jean R. Barnett.

The memorial service for Larry will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Central Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
