Laura Caldwell Sachak

Laura Caldwell Sachak, 86, of Morganton, NC died Monday, May 25, 2015.  Born in Suffolk County, NY on May 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Pennington Caldwell and Loretta Elizabeth Meier Caldwell.

Laura is survived by her children, Lynda S. Powell and her husband, Dennis, of Morganton, Donna L. Formhals and her husband, Brian, of Long Island, NY, Sandy A. Klapatosk of Morganton, Jane M. Pence of Groton, NY, Peter F. Sachak and his wife, Joanne, of Long Island, Michael W. Sachak and his wife, Debbie, of Long Island, Mary Anne Fesnick and her husband, Calvin, of Long Island, Lorie J. Girani and her husband, Bob, of Washington, NC, Jennifer L. Spitaleri and her husband, Sal, of Long Island, and Amelia R. Woody and her husband, Alan, of Connelly Springs, NC; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Russell Caldwell of Long Island.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Sachak; and three brothers, Stanley, Richard, and Raymond Caldwell.

The memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Mr. Michael W. Sachak officiating.
