Lawrence "Larry" Berthelot

Lawrence "Larry" Berthelot, 59, of Valdese, NC passed away Friday, May 25, 2012. Born in Jefferson Parish, LA on December 12, 1952, he was the son of Melvin and Shirley Nicosia Berthelot. Larry was a member of East Valdese Baptist Church and was employed at the Marion Correctional Institution. A very gifted handyman, he enjoyed music and loved his three canine companions, especially his little Yorkie, Brody.In addition to his parents, Larry is survived by his wife, Robin Ramsey Berthelot of the home; a son, Chad Berthelot and his wife, Eugenie, of Marrero, LA; a daughter, Nikki Raines and her husband, David, of Marrero; grandchildren, Celise Raines, Maci Berthelot, and Matthew Berthelot; a step-son, Matthew McGalliard of the home; and a sister, Melanie Berthelot of Marrero.A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 27, 2012 at East Valdese Baptist Church with Rev.
