Lenada Cuthbertson Williams went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 22, 2022. Born May 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Ruby Mull Cuthbertson. She was a graduate of Glen Alpine High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Western Piedmont Community College and worked there for 32 years as administrative assistant to the dean of Humanities and Social Sciences. She was a charter staff member of the College and was the last charter member to retire. She was a resident of Burke County until she moved to Rutherford County in 2007.
Lenada was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carol H. Williams; sister, Margaret Curtis; brother, Kenneth Cuthbertson; step-son, Kenneth Williams; step-daughter, Debra Tondreau; step-daughter Kim Al-Omar; and step-mother, Sadie P. Cuthbertson.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Williams Hollifield and husband, Roger, of Bostic; grandson, Will Hollifield and wife, Allie, of Blowing Rock; grandson, Matt Hollifield of Bostic; step-son, Jason Williams and wife, Heather, of Hudson; sister, Winn Fernandes of Plymouth, MA; sister-in-law, Blanche Cuthbertson of Glen Alpine; step-grandchildren Kenneth and Robert Williams, Jackson Poteat; Chance Clark and Salma Al-Omar.
The funeral will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2:30pm, with the Rev. Danny Emory and Adam Velez officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2:15pm in the sanctuary of the Church. In addition to the service at Hopewell, a private graveside service will be held at Burke Memorial Park at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Fellowship Church, PO Box 278, Bostic, NC 28018 or the Symphony of Rutherford County, PO Box 750, Forest City, NC 28043.
