Leola Lail Orders

Leola Lail Orders, 100, of Morganton died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Morganton Long Term Care. Born January 29, 1910 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Minnie Berry Lail. Leola was very kind and generous to all who knew her, and always willing to help others.She is survived by a daughter, Jean Elizabeth Orders of Morganton; a foster child, Barbara Evans of Valdese; a sister, Margaret Lail Black of Glen Alpine; and many loving nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Conley Orders; brothers, Ralph and Hennessee Lail; and sisters, Ethel and Ruth Orders.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Lail Road Community Church in Glen Alpine with Rev. David Pollard officiating. Burial will follow at the Glen Alpine Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
