Leona B. Harmon

Leona B. Harmon, 68, of Morganton, NC died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at her residence. Born in Smith County, VA on December 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Bullins and Frances Irene Gross Bullins.Leona is survived by her children, Marie Netherton, Becky Beam and her husband, Wayne, and Dean "Deano" Harmon and his wife, Emma, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Jeffery Netherton, Tabitha Duckworth, Zackary Netherton, Dustin Pennington, Heather Pennington, Dean Edward Harmon, Beth Harmon, Myra Harmon, and Alicia Harmon; great-grandchildren, Dorrean Moore, Dillon Duckworth, Jr., Tanner Duckworth, Ryan Pennington, Kiley Wallace, and Trenton Deal; nephews, Johnny Bullins and Christopher Bullins; and extended family, Jimmy Netherton.In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Graham Henegar; her second husband, William Dean Harmon; and a brother, Jacob "Bill" Bullins.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
