Leonard Alexander Norman, 75, of Morganton, NC, died Sunday, July 17, 2016. Born on March 14, 1941 in Burke County, NC, Leonard was a son of the late Charles Alexander Norman and Ruby Ray Buff Norman.
Leonard is survived by his children, Debbie N. Tallent and husband, Mike, Charles Norman and wife, Connie, Pam N. Self and husband, Tracy, Tammy N. Coffey and husband, Nathan, and Mike Norman and wife, Becky all of Morganton; and twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Ricky Norman and wife, Tammy of Hudson; sisters, Hazel Davis and husband, W.J., Gladys Carswell, and Rita Aldredge and husband, James all of Morganton; and the mother of his children, Shirley Norman McMahan of Morganton.
In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Norman Russell.
The memorial service will be 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Darvy Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
At other times the family will be at the home of Debbie Tallent.
