Lillian Campbell

Lillian Campbell, 84, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Born in McDowell County, NC on February 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George Burnette and Fannie Mae Suttles Burnette. Mrs. Campbell retired from Roses with over 30 years of service.Lillian is survived by children, Walter Burnette and his wife, Susan, of Morganton, Linda C. Lackey and her husband, Danny, of Morganton, Keith Campbell and his wife, Jill, of Easley, SC, and Janice Guffey and her husband, Donald, of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Paige Guffey, Heather Burnette, Holly Campbell, Megan Campbell Williams, Cory Lackey, and Jason Lackey; great-grandchildren, Rileigh Williams, Cooper Williams, and Wyatt Lackey; brothers, Thurston Burnette and his wife, Gloria, of Morganton and James Burnette and his companion, Delores, of Kansas City, MO; and a number of nieces and nephews.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence of Linda Lackey on Ferngully Drive in Morganton.
