Lillian Mae Beattie Price, 88, of Morganton passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. Born in Dalton, GA on July 15, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James Abraham Garfield Beattie and Daisy Beach Alexander. Lillian was a member of Morganton Seventh Day Adventist Church. A homemaker who dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and church family, Mrs. Price will be missed by all who knew her.
Lillian is survived by her children, Wanda Bunting and her husband, Tommy, of Wilson, NC, Nicky Price and his wife, Phyllis, of Morganton, and Ruth Ann Brisson and her husband, Roger, of Morganton; grandchildren, Tanya, Tracy, Emily, and Larry; great-grandchildren, Conner, Thorne, Morgan, and Chandler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Price; and a brother, George Beattie.
The funeral will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Morganton Seventh Day Adventist Church on Jamestown Road with Pastor Rick Mercer and Pastor Barry Mahorney officiating. Burial will follow in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Silver Creek Seventh Day Adventist School, 2195 Jamestown Rd, Morganton, NC 28655-9101.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
