Lillian Mull Norman

Lillian Mull Norman, 88, of Morganton, NC died Friday, January 8, 2016.  Born in Williamsburg County, SC on May 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Jessie L. Mull and Vergie Stewart Mull.  Lillian was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church.  She was a retired employee of Broughton Hospital and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mrs. Norman is survived by her daughter, Doris Benfield and her husband, Jimmy, of Morganton; grandchildren, Sabrina Norville and her husband, Jeremy, Tracy Davis and her husband, Eddie, and Dustin Benfield and his wife, Lacey, all of Morganton; great-grandchildren, Jacob Norville, Paula Davis, and Kaylee Hayes and her husband, Zachary; and sisters, Joyce Crawley of Morganton, Shirley Saunders and her husband, James, of Morganton, Verlie Roper and her husband, Claude, of Drexel, NC, Joann King and her husband, Phil, of Morganton, and Patsy Helms and her husband, Monty, of Crouse, NC.

In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Norman; a daughter, Cathy Norman; and siblings, Minnie Propst, Myrtle Earle, Mary Hill, Ben Mull, Howard Mull, Betty Powell, Bonnie Lowman, and Norma Jean Martin.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Mt. Home Baptist Church.  The funeral will be held at the church at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Gamble and the Rev. Phil King officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  At other times the family will be at Mrs. Norman’s residence.
