Linda Burkhart Hyatt

Linda Burkhart Hyatt, 59, of Morganton went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2011. Born July 19, 1952 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Naomi Ross Daves, and John and Pearlie Piercy who raised her. Linda attended Freedom Baptist Church, and worked as a CNA at several local nursing homes. She loved visiting her family and friends.She is survived by her husband, Willard ?Willy? Hyatt of the home; sons, James William Marlowe, and Nathan Allen Marlowe and wife, Miranda, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Hannah, Isaiah, Megan, Hailey, Sasha, Victoria, Justin, Karlee, and Leana; brothers, Roger Burkhart and wife, Renia of Morganton, and David Burkhart and wife, Mable of Nebo; sisters, Debra Hicks and husband, Ralph, Vickie Anthony and husband, Rick, all of Morganton, and Pamela Baker and husband, Michael of Nebo; step-daughters, Shana Bullin and Shelly Hollar, both of Morganton; and her former husband, James Allen Marlowe of Icard.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Evangelist Nathan Marlowe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
