Linda Cable Branch

Linda Cable Branch, 65 of Asheville, NC, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Mission Hospital. Born in Burke County on December 7, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Bartley Cable and Hazel Mulwee Cable.
Linda had a very strong love for the Lord and her family. She always loved taking care of children, whether it was at home, or at the YMCA of Asheville, where she enjoyed working in youth development. Linda was very active and was always helping others.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Paula Branch Mojica and husband, Manny of Marion and Faith Branch Smith and husband, Martin of Asheville; grandchildren, Jordan and Bailey Mojica, Greyson Branch, Selah, Zech, Zoe, and Kayla Smith; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Linke; sister Connie Cable of Morganton; brother, Ernie Cable of Robbinsville; and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by, her husband, Paul McKinley Branch, Jr.; brother, Hubert Steven Cable and sister, Annie Lee Cable.
The family will receive friends, from 10 – 11 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Cable officiating. Burial will be in the Cable Cove Cemetery in Robbinsville, NC.
