Linda Gail Daniels Heavner

Linda Gail Daniels Heavner, 67, of Morganton passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  Born in Mitchell County, NC on February 8, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Mira Daniels.  Linda was a member of Shepherd Chapel Church.  She loved her Lord and Savior and enjoyed her birds.

Mrs. Heavner is survived by daughters, Emma Harmon and husband, Dean, and Jennifer Floyd, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Dean Harmon and wife, Heather, Beth Harmon, Myra Harmon, Alicia Harmon and companion, Austin Avery, and Macy Crawford; great-grandchildren, Liam Harmon and Esabelle “Izzy” Harmon; a brother, Rick Daniels of Morganton; sisters, Alice Rhyne and husband, Ken, of Glen Alpine, Shery Daniels of Spruce Pine, and Lou Ella Daniels of Morganton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Heavner; and a sister, Peggy Cowan.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Daniels Family Cemetery in Crossnore with nephew Kenny Rhyne officiating.  At other times the family will be at the home.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
