Linda Kay Duckworth Baldridge

Linda Kay Duckworth Baldridge, 70, of Morganton, NC passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017. She was born March 8, 1947 in Burke County, NC and was the daughter of the late Stanley Minick Duckworth and Mildred Loray Webb Duckworth. Linda was a member of Conley Road Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved working in her garden, fishing, camping, and going to the beach staying at the beach house. Linda was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Malone Baldridge; sons, Derick Baldridge and Ricky Smith; and sisters, Janice Marie Duckworth and Patricia Piercy.
Linda is survived by sons, James Smith, Donald Smith, and Shane Baldridge; daughter, Angi Baldridge; siblings, Larry Duckworth, Rita Duckworth, Sherry Parlier, Betty Kerley, Barbara Gragg, Jackie Evans, Tony Duckworth, and Buster Duckworth; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Conley Road Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
