Linda Kay Sinclair, 59, of Log Hollow Lane, Morganton, NC died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Grace Hospital following an extended period of declining health. Born in Caldwell Co., NC on September 26, 1949, she was the daughter of biological father, Richard Howard Greene; step-father, Harold Patton; and mother, Linda Raye Spears Patton. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Linda loved bluegrass and gospel music, NASCAR, and the Carolina Tar Heels. She was the family historian, and she cared deeply for everyone and was everyone’s friend.Linda is survived by her husband, Boyce Homer Sinclair of the home; a brother, William "Bill" Harold Patton of Morganton; sisters, Rita Hurst and husband, C.J., Wanda Largent, and Wilma Carswell and husband, Eddie, all of Morganton; a half sister, Libby, of Lancaster, SC; half-brothers, Danny, Eddie, Randy, and Gary, all of Lancaster; a step-mother, Mary Greene; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hence and Edith Patton, and William and Mary Spears, and her beloved dog, "Little Man."The funeral will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Reverends Randy Queen and Dennis Carswell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral. At other times the family will be at the residence of her brother, Bill Patton, on Patton Rd., Morganton.
