Linda Louise Dyson

Linda Louise Dyson, 75, of Morganton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Born in Tennessee on February 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Mathes and Louise Webb Mathes.  Linda was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dearly loved her family.  She loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed taking care of children.  She also enjoyed watching mysteries shows on television and working with her flowers.

Linda is survived by her children, Randy Dyson (Tammy), Freddie Dyson (Toni), Teresa Dyson, and Lisa Revis (J-me); ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Mathes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Leonard Dyson; sisters, Patricia Pritchard, Dixie Mathes, and Dawn Martin; and brother, Sherman Mathes.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church.  The graveside will be held at 2 p.m. in the church cemetery with Rev. Kevin Sizemore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to assist with funeral expenses.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
