Linda Louise Walker

Linda Louise Walker, 69, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2019.  Born in McDowell County, NC on May 27, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Ray Lowdermilk and Helen Louise Hawkins Lowdermilk.  Linda was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church on Dysartsville Road.  She was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed working with her flowers.  She loved spending time with her great-granddaughter, Bella.

Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Howard Walker of the home; son, Scotty Walker (Tina); daughter, Wendy Walker Brady (Robert Benfield); grandchildren, Macayla, Dakota, and Kaitlyn Brady; great-granddaughter, Isabella Peeler; brother, Gene Lowdermilk; sister, Betty Causby (Dennis); and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2019 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Pat Looper officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
