Linda Ruth Martin

Linda Ruth Martin, 84, of Morganton passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021.  Born in Chesterfield County, SC on June 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Kendrick Hamer Martin and Ruth Elizabeth Fox Martin.  Linda was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church for over 40 years.  She had a great love for the Lord, her family, and her church.  Linda enjoyed travelling with her husband, the love of her life.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her children, Linda Martin Morton (Bob), Susan Patton (Keith), Robert Russell Martin, Jr., (Debra), Karen Revis (Marty), and Billy Martin (Sherrard); ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Barry Martin (Phyllis); and sister-in-law, Nancy Martin.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Russell Martin; granddaughter, Josie Jaquins; and brother, Ronnie Martin.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Catawba Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Lott officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Catawba Valley Baptist Church or Amorem Hospice.
