Lisa G. Thomas

Lisa G. Thomas, 57 of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 13, 2018. She was born December 6, 1960 in Burke County, NC and was the daughter of Mary Price Gladden and the late J.P. Gladden. Lisa attended Grace Baptist Church. She worked 23 years at Broughton Hospital with her last assignment being Executive Assistant to the Director. Lisa worked with the youth and was very involved with Brookwood Baptist Church for many years. She loved to sew and read but most enjoyed travelling and camping in the Great Smoky Mountains with her husband. Lisa and her husband were lifetime members of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park Association.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband, Charles Richard Thomas; brother, Keith Gladden and wife, Mary; father-in-law, Jimmy Freeman, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Eugene Thomas and wife, Kathy and Jimmy Freeman, Jr. and wife, Brenda; sisters-in-law, Gloria Etters and husband, Jim, and Ann Freeman; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Marty Bess officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
