Lois E. Piercy

Lois E. Piercy, 60, of Pax Hill Rd. in Morganton died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Burke Palliative Care Center in Valdese following a period of declining health. Born March 4, 1950 in Cherokee County, NC, she was a daughter of the late John Walter Piercy and Lillian Roberta Hogsed Piercy. Lois was a former employee of both Broughton Hospital and Grace Hospital.She is survived by a sister, Lu Shores; a brother and his wife, Richard and Brenda Piercy; nephews, Alex Piercy and wife, Elizabeth, and Stacey Shores; and nieces, Jackie Wakefield and Joy Finney.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kim Bolick, Nell Kincaid, Jamie Gladden, and Barbara Davidson.A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Friday, September 24, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Baker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
