Lois Rayburn King

Lois Rayburn King, 83 of Southview St., Morganton, NC died Wednesday, September, 10, 2008 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC. Born in Rutherford County, NC on February 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. Rayburn and Ella Belle Arrowood Rayburn. Lois loved to garden and enjoyed volunteering and helping other people. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne King; and a sister, Virginia Brown.Lois is survived by sisters, Grace Morris, of Matthews and Inez Myers of Morganton; and a brother, Hal Rayburn and his wife, Faye of Morganton.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2008 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. David Orders officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to the service.
