Lollie Mull Fox Horton

Lollie Mull Fox Horton, 96, of Morganton died Saturday, July 7, 2012 following a period of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on January 17, 1916, she was the daughter of the late W. J. Mull and Florence A. Whisenant. Lollie was a member of Southside Baptist Church.A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Loretta Jean Mattingly of Easton, MD; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Susan Robinson of Lincolnton, NC and Vera Kimel of NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Lollie is preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Smoot; a grandson, Kevin Smoot; three brothers, George, Carl, and Winford Mull; and three sisters, Lois, Lillie, and Ruth Mull.A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012 at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Clark officiating.
