Louella Anderson Kerley

Louella Anderson Kerley, 77, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009, following a period of declining health. She was born in Burke County on September 8, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Charles Howard Anderson and Mary Martha Queen Anderson. Mrs. Kerley was a member of South Mountain Baptist Church.Louella is survived by her husband, Carl William Kerley, of the home; sons and their wives, Scott and Anna Ruth Kerley and Howard and Tammy Kerley; a daughter, Carla Kerley Aldridge; all of Morganton; grandchildren, Shasta Stroupe, Hali Carpenter, Nathaniel Kerley, Eric Kerley, and Jonah Kerley; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Sue Walden and her husband, Bill, sister-in-law, Nina Anderson, all of Morganton; and a number of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kerley was preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Sue Brown; great-grandson, Dakota Patton; and brothers, Charles William Anderson and Ray Nelson Anderson.The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 16, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Reverends Bob Deviney, Rob Castle, and Ron Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
