Louis Colin White

Louis Colin White, 42, of Canoe Dr., Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2007 at the Palliative Care Center in Catawba County following a courageous six month battle with multiple myeloma. He was born August 20, 1964 in Craven County, NC, and was a son of Libby Yount White of Morganton and the late Louis L. White. Colin was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church. He graduated from Freedom High School, and then attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville and Western Carolina University. Colin’s career was as a director and actor for stage, movies, and commercials. He had directed children’s theatre productions and had worked extensively in all areas of theater production including lighting and set construction.In addition to his mother, he is survived by a special friend, Melody Pritchard of Marion, NC; aunts and uncles, Linda and David Carroll of Shawnee, OK, James and Janeane Yount of Newcastle, OK, and Jackie Stawitz of Broken Arrow, OK; a number of cousins; and many other special friends.A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2007 at El Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Cooper and Chaplain Kim Dowell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
