Louise Allen

Louise Allen, 87, of Morganton died Saturday, October 28, 2017.  Born in Avery County, NC on May 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Winters and Sudie Clarke Winters.  Louise loved cooking for others and growing flowers.  She never met a stranger and loved her nieces and nephews as her own children.

Louise is survived by a son, Charles Larry Allen of Morganton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen; sisters, Fairy Cooper, Paulene Burleson, Revonda Pearson, and Nark Johnson; and brothers, Dallas, Joe, and Glen “Buster” Winters.

The graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at Burke Memorial Park with the Rev. Michael Brackett officiating.  The family will greet friends in the cemetery following the service.
