Louise Tiedt Edwards

Louise Tiedt Edwards, 88, of Valdese died Friday, April 10, 2015. She was born on August 9, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Berthold Tiedt and Amalie Schippmann Tiedt. Louise loved to read, loved dogs, history and archeology and was fascinated with King Tut. She retired from Drexel Heritage and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Louise is survived by daughters, Cathi Edwards of Valdese, Melissa Moore and husband, Steve of Kingsport, TN and Barbara Heilman and husband, John of Valdese; grandchildren, Matthew, Mandy, Charlie, Caitlyn, Wesley, Ben, Anna, Rebecca, Luz, Phillip, Joseph Ryan and Ellie; and great-grandchild, Audrey.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Edwards and infant daughter, Susan.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Calvary Lutheran Church.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
