Lueyane "Lou" Powell Braswell

Lueyane "Lou" Powell Braswell, 58, of N. Anderson St., Morganton, NC died Friday, April 9, 2010 at Grace Hospital. Born in Burke County, NC on May 5, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Corlie Powell and Almer Mae Webb Powell. Lou was a member of Calvary Assembly of God.She is survived by her husband, Howard Braswell of the home; a son, Tim Hall and wife, Angela, of Morganton; a daughter, Lisa Abee of Morganton; grandchildren, T.J. Hall and Tabitha Hall, and Chelsea and James Middleton; and sisters, Martha Whisnant, Mary Clark, Doris Mather, Kathy Walker, Frances Powell, and Trish Whisnant.In addition to her parents, Lou was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Powell, and a sister, Jean Pendley.The funeral will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2010 at Calvary Assembly of God with Rev. Mike Whisnant officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
