Lydia Danner Stacy

Lydia Danner Stacy, 85, of Morganton, NC died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. Born January 11, 1927 in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Soloman Danner and Mable Woodie Danner. Lydia was a member of the Praise Assembly of God, and she loved her church family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and traveling to Pigeon Forge, TN.A devoted and loving mother and grandmother; Lydia is survived by a daughter, Betty Eller and husband, Kenneth of Morganton; a son, Chester Lee Stacy, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Morganton; a grandson, Scott Dula and wife, Sherry, of Glen Alpine; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth McFalls of Morganton.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lee Stacy, Sr.A private graveside service will be held at Park Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
