Mack Ervin Walker

Mack Ervin Walker, 67, died Friday, April 11, 2014. Mr. Walker was born in Burke County and June 22, 1946 and was a son of the late Ervin McLean Walker and Sarah Elizabeth Lane Walker. Mack was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Burkemont Baptist Church.Surviving are his wife, Elaine Feimster Walker; his son, Scott Mack Walker of the home; an aunt and her husband, Zula and Alfred Orders, of Morganton; and first cousins, David Orders, Gary Walker and wife, Lynn, and their daughter, Erin, and Patty Stiers.Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Burkemont Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddy Bunton and Dr. David Mills officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. At other times the family will be at the home on Crawley Drive. Memorial contributions may be made in Mack’s memory to Burkemont Baptist Church Building Fund, 4668 Burkemont Rd., Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center has the honor of serving the Walker family.
