Mae Rudisill

Mae Rudisill, 89, of Drexel, NC, formerly of Lincolnton, NC went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was born on January 4, 1923 in Rutherford County. Mae was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vale and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Morganton in her later years. She was a member of the Red Hat Club in Morganton and was employed at Blue Bell Manufacturing in Lincolnton. Mae loved to sing and travel.Mae is survived by her son, Dean Rudisill of Connelly Springs; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude William Rudisill; a daughter, Mary R. Mosteller; a son, Wayne Rudisill; brothers, Jim Long, Jack Long, and Lee Prewitt; and a sister, Mary Baucom.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Vale with Rev. Van Buchanan officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center in Morganton from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Deanna Buchanan.
