Maggie Pearson Lane

Maggie Pearson Lane, 93, of Clark Loop, Morganton, NC died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health. She was born September 19, 1914 in Burke County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Will Pearson and Laura Pearson. Maggie was a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church, and a retired employee of Drexel Heritage Plant #33.She is survived by sons, Tillman Lane, Bill Lane and wife, Brenda, and Jimmy Lane, all of Morganton; a daughter, Joann Frank and husband, Thomas, Jr. of Morganton; a brother, Horace Pearson of Morganton; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Lane, and a son, Gene Lane.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church with

Rev. Donald Lovelace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 2 pm at Missionary Ridge Enrichment Center. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
