Manie Leak Payne Wiseman, 93, of Autumn Care of Drexel, NC died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the nursing home following a period of declining health. She was born April 7, 1913 in Rockingham County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Beverly Tucker Payne and Cornelia Parsons Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Morris Wiseman. Manie was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by a half-sister, Roy Ann Sandridge of Charlottesville, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ron Cooper officiating. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. On-line condolences may be made at www.sossomanfuneralservice.com.
