Marcus Chadwick Mosteller, 49, of Valdese, NC passed away on October 2, 2024. Born on March 9, 1975 in Burke County, he was the son of the late Robert Daniel Mosteller, Sr. and Frankie Rita Mullinax Mosteller.

Marcus was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved being outdoors. He worked an extended amount of time as a welder for Baker’s Waste and Morganton Pressure Vessels. Marcus always wanted to help others, and his wishes were to donate his organs. His wishes were fulfilled by donating his kidneys.

In addition to his parents, Marcus was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Mosteller, Jr.; loving grandparents, Joe Mosteller, Vivian Alderman, Fred Mullinax, and Kathleen Ross; and an uncle, Von Mosteller (Kay).

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Michelle Mosteller; daughter, Kaitlyn Mosteller; step-daughter, Brittney Edwards (David); granddaughters, Kaylynn Edwards and Paisley Brittain; aunts, Joyce Williams (Rodney) and Sandy Miller (Keith); a special niece, Mikayla Mosteller; and many special cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Duckworth officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
