Margaret Elizabeth Williams Greene, 83, of Morganton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Born in Burke County, NC on February 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert Morrison Williams and Laura Margaret Rigdon Williams. Margaret was a member of First Advent Christian Church and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She retired from Broughton Hospital after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening, especially working in her roses, and she also loved her rescue dogs.
Margaret is survived by her son, Doug Richardson; grandchildren, Jarod Richardson (Elizabeth), Erik Richardson, Nicole Feltner, Max Richardson, and Josh Moses (Sara).
In addition to her parents, Magaret was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Greene; daughter, Lisa Moses; and former husband, Frances Lee Richardson.
No services are planned at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Peggy was my Administrative Assistant during my tenure as Psychology Department Director at Broughton Hospital. I was immensely grateful for her competence, her compassionate approach to others, and her loyalty to me and to our department. She was a special source of support to the many generations of psych interns who rotated through the hospital. My deepest sympathy goes to her family and loved ones.
