Margaret Louise Duckworth Henson, 85, of Glen Alpine passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. Born on August 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur Duckworth and Annie Lee Franklin Duckworth. She was a member of Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church since the age of 7 years old. A member of Wesleyan Women and Best Year Sunday School Class. Retired from Drexel Heritage Plant 6. Margaret was a loving mother to her children.
Mrs. Henson is survived by her son, Wendal Henson (Lisa); daughters, Angie Swink (Paul) and Ginger Parker; grandchildren, Clay Henson (Jessica), Courtney Swink, Bella Henson, and Tim Swink; great-grandchildren, Carter Henson, Tyler Swink, and Abby Swink; sister, Pearl Duckworth Dellinger; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Henson Jr.; sister, Hazel Beach; brothers; William Luther Duckworth, James Edward Duckworth, Sidney Duckworth, Robert Lee Duckworth, Walter Arthur Duckworth, and Guy Duckworth.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Tuesday October 23, 2018 at Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with Pastor Lou Gardner, Pastor Ricky Watkins, and Rev. Cris Uren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
