Margaret L. Reich

Margaret L. Reich, 83, of Morganton, NC, formerly of Willard, NY passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017.  Born in Yates County, NY on September 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George Scott and Edith Joslyn Scott.  Margaret was raised in the Baptist faith.  She retired from Willard Psychiatric Center in 1988 after 38 years of service.  Margaret was a current member of the American Legion and VFW in Ovid, NY.

Mrs. Reich is survived by her daughter, Vicky Foster of Morganton; grandsons, Steven Reich of Cortland, NY, Robert Foster of Morganton, Russell Walker of Cortland, and Terry Walker of Morganton; 6 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sisters, Myrtle Thomas of Penn Yan, NY and Alice Fairbrother of Geneva, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Walker; sons, Steven and Richard Reich; sisters, Edith Crumb and Helen McMillan; brothers, Lewis, George, and Frank Scott; and her former husband, Herbert Reich.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 12 pm, Sunday, October 15 2017 at the American Legion, 2001 Himrod Rd, Penn Yan, NY 14527.  The graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Monday, October 16, 2017 at Lakeview Cemetery, 426 Court St, Penn Yan, NY 14527

Memorial contributions may be made to one’s local hospice foundation.
