Margaret Loughan Chapman

Margaret Loughan Chapman, 83, of Morganton, NC passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017.  Born on April 16, 1934 in Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late James Wilkie Hoxit and Mrytle Galloway Hoxit.  She was a member or Muddy Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by her husband, Roy Chapman and children, Patricia Jordan, Linda Pridgen, Bobby Woodard, David Woodard, and Charles Woodard.  Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eulice Allen Woodard and son, Junior Allen Woodard.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
