Margaret Taylor Epley, 85, of Glen Alpine, NC went home to her Heavenly home, Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Born on February 4, 1934 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Marcus and Hannie Whisenant Taylor. Margaret was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church. She was loved dearly by her church family.
Margaret is survived by her son, Thomas Reid Epley; daughters, Becky Pollard and Kathy Hass; grandchildren, Byron Pollard, Brandon Epley, Dillon Epley, Crystal Carswell, Joseph Carswell, Travis Ross and Kayla Edwards; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ivey Epley; daughter, Teresa Gail Carswell; sisters, Frances Saulman, Ruby Carswell, Mary Pritchard, Dorothy Ramsey, Azalee Icard; brothers, Joseph, Albert (Nuke), Clyde (Pat), Gene.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Praise Assembly of God. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Kevin Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Alpine Cemetery.
Memorial contribution may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home or Praise Assembly of God to help with funeral expenses.
