Margaret "Toots" Epley Rusmiselle

Margaret "Toots" Epley Rusmiselle, 83, of Morganton, NC died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born in Burke County, NC on December 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Frank Lenoir Epley and Mary Ellen Powell Epley. Toots was a registered nurse in Newport News, VA and also worked as a private duty nurse.She is survived by her brother, Paul Epley of Glen Alpine, NC; grandsons, Christopher and Tim Rusmiselle; and a large number of nieces and nephews including a niece, Kathy Pam Karr who in recent years was caregiver for Toots.In addition to her parents, Toots was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Rusmiselle; a son, Joey Rusmiselle; a brother, T.I. Epley; and sisters, Mary Epley, Jennawese Hall, Aleta Epley, Ethel Atherton, and Ellawese Jarvis.The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
