Margaret W. Brown

Margaret W. Brown, 67, formerly of Jenkins Road, Morganton, NC died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Grace Heights Nursing Home. Born Cleveland County, NC on January 20, 1941, she was the daughter of Edna Mae Carieco Wilkie of Morganton and the late James Cecil Wilkie. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Von Wilkie. Margaret retired from Morganton Dye and Finishing.Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons, Bryan Brown and wife, Diane, and Johnny Brown, all of Morganton; daughters, Teresa Buff, of Morganton, Angel Norman and Jason Clark of Glen Alpine, NC, and Robin Clark and husband, Bruce, of Morganton; grandchildren, Cameron Brown, Miranda Buff, Kenneth Buff, Brandi Keeter, Eric Holland, Chase Clark, Jacob Clark, Joanie Moody, Kristie Clark, and William Clark; brothers, James Wilkie of Cleveland County and Jerry Dean Wilkie of Morganton; sisters, Mary Wilkie of Morganton and Elaine Powell of Drexel, NC; and nine great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Praise Assembly of God in Glen Alpine with the Reverend Kevin Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
