Margie B. Page

Margie B. Page, 91, of Valdese, NC passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017.  Born in Burke County, NC on May 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Sheridan Arthur Berry and Velna Jones Berry.  Margie was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church . Margie had served as a Girl Scout leader , was a homemaker who loved to garden.

Mrs. Page is survived by her husband of 63 years, M. Allen Page of the home; children, Rodney Williams and wife, Joyce, of Hudson, NC and Sherrie Alexander and husband, Tony, of Morganton; grandchildren, Mark Williams and wife, Shonie, Tammy Williams, and Gabbie Godfrey Street and husband, Shane; great-grandchildren, Amber Harrison, Mark Catoe, Jackson Branch, and Shawn Street; and a sister, Elizabeth Harris.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jodie Page Jordan; a brother, Vurland Berry; and a sister, Cleta Hildebrand.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm, Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Enon Baptist Church.  The funeral will be held at 3pm in the church with the Rev. Gary Garner officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  At other times, the family will be at the home of the granddaughter, Gabbie Street.
